2017년 10월 24일 캐나다 정부에서 AIPP 지원 이민자의 동반자녀 연령을 만 19세에서 만 22세로 상향 변경 했습니다. 

동반자녀는 미혼이어야 하며, 22세 이상의 자녀의 경우 경제적으로 부모님께 의존하고 있음을 입증해야 합니다.

캐나다 정부는 National Occupational Classification (NOC)을 사용하여 직업군을 분류합니다. 

이민을 목적으로 하는 주요 직업군은 다음과 같습니다. 

• Skill Type 0 (zero): management jobs, such as:
  • restaurant managers
  • mine managers
  • shore captains (fishing)
• Skill Level A: professional jobs that usually call for a degree from a university, such as:
  • doctors
  • dentists
  • architects
• Skill Level B: technical jobs and skilled trades that usually call for a college diploma or training as an apprentice, such as:
  • chefs
  • plumbers
  • electricians
• Skill Level C: intermediate jobs that usually call for high school and/or job-specific training, such as:
  • industrial butchers
  • long-haul truck drivers
  • food and beverage servers
• Skill Level D: labour jobs that usually give on-the-job training, such as:
  • fruit pickers
  • cleaning staff
  • oil field workers
